Bollywood Biography: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan or Aamir Hussain Khan was born on the 14th of March in the year 1965. He is a Hindi film actor, producer and director. He has starred in a number of films that are both critically and commercially acclaimed films. He was able to earn recognitions as one of the best actors in Hindi cinema.

Aamir KhanHe first started in Yaadon Ki Baaraat in the year 1973 as a child actor. In the year 1984 he started his career again after 11 years via the movie Holi. He tasted success via the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in the year 1988. This is the movie of his cousin Mansoor Khans. He got his first film fare award in his portrayal in the movie Raja Hindustani in 1996. In 2001 he was able to get his second best actor award via the movie Lagaan. This movie also garnered the national film fare award. Aamir Khan was born to a Muslim family in Mumbai. His father Tahjr Hussain was a producer of Hindi films. His uncle Nasir Hussain was an actor, director and film producer just like him. He has done a lot of movies and was able to succeed in most of his movies.

In his career, the movie Lagaan was considered the best of his movies and it even won the national film awards and was nominated for the Oscars. The film received the best foreign language film. It is still considered among the best of Hindi movies. The success of Lagaan was followed by Dil Chahta Hai.
The movie Rand De Basanti of Rakesh Omprakash Mehra was a major hit where he also got the best performance award. The film became the premier movie of that year and was able to garner a lot of awards all over the world.

Aamir Khan produced the movie Taare Zameen Par which became a great hit in 2007. This movie is the second one produced by the Aamir Khan productions. The movie was well accepted by the audience from all around the world. It has garnered a lot of awards. In the year 2008, Aamir appeared in Ghajuni which was a block buster. It was one of the highest grossing movies of Bollywoood. Just recently, his 2009 movie 3 Idiots also garnered a lot of awards. He was married to Reena Dutta and had two children. Upon his divorce he married Kiran Rao in 2005.

Aamir Hussain Khan is commonly known as Aamir Khan. He was bon in 14 March 1965. He is an Hindi film actor, producer and director. He worked for a number of commercially and critically successful films. He has recognized himself as best actor in Hindi cinema. Even though aamir was nominated for many films, but he does not use to attend any of the Indian film fare awards. With his talent of acting, aamir has proved to be one of the best actors of Indian film industry.

You have always seen him doing some simple but significant roles in the movies. Though his roles are of short duration but the way he acts and put expression in them, the roles become unforgettable. Aamir Khan was first introduced as a child artist in the 1970's hit Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) -- he was the youngest child in the trio. Aamir 'quit' movies and went on to become the state tennis champion for Maharashtra. Aamir also fell in love with the girl next door in the meantime. He proposed to her the day he turned 21, and she accepted. But apparently, there was opposition since she was from a Hindu family and he, from a devout Islamic one. So, they eloped, got married and returned to their homes. Aamir's wife Reena even appears in the song "Papa Kehte Hain" that made him the darling of the nation.

One of the three Khans that ruled Bollywood in the 90s. The other two are Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan.He was Awarded Padma Bhushan for the year 2003 by the Government of India. Aamir has two children, Junaid age 9, and Aira age 4, both from Reena, his first wife. Has been a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock stories.

It was later reported Khan married Kiran Rao(assistant to Director Prakash Mehra in the movie Rang De Basanti) in a small ceremony at his home in Mumbai, India on 28 December 2005. He produced his first movie "Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001)". The film went on to become a blockbuster hit and went on to be nominated for the Oscars. That same year he set up his own production house called Aamir Khan Productions Ltd. In 2006 his movie "Rang De Basanti" went on to become one of the highest grossing films of that year.

Manoj Joshi's Biography


Manoj Joshi is an Indian film, television and theater actor who is mostly known for his work in comedy films like Phir Hera Pheri, Golmaal and Hungama. Manoj's film career began in 1999 when he played SI Bajju in Aamir Khan starrer Sarfarosh.

Manoj Joshi has also worked in many television serials including Chanakya and Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka. Joshi played the role of Peshwa Baji Rao I in the Marathi television serial Rau which was produced by Smita Talwalkar and was aired on DD Sahyadri, Doordarshan's Marathi channel.

Faisal Khan


Faisal Khan was born in September, 1966, Mumbai, India. Faisal Khan is a Bollywood actor. He is the brother of Aamir Khan, Farhat Khan and Nikhat Khan who is a producer. His father Tahir Hussain is a producer; his uncle Nasir Hussain was a director.

Faisal Khan was married to Samia Kamruddin, a handbag designer in London, England. They divorced after only a few months December 4. Sources said that Faisal Khan had gone into depression after he separated from his wife.

On October 14, 2007 it was reported that Faisal also took the treatment for schizophrenia. The court awarded custody of Faisal to his father Tahir.

Faisal khan made his acting debut playing a minor role in his brother Aamir's 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He went onto play another bit part in his brother's 1992 film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

Faisal Khan also got his first leading role in the 1994 film Madhosh which was produced by his father Tahir Hussain. But the film failed to launch his career as it flopped at the box office. After a five-year long gap Faisal acted alongside his brother Aamir in Mela (2000) which also failed at the box office.

The Living Legend-Kader Khan


Kader Khan was born on circa 1937 in Pishin (Pakistan). Kader Khan is an Indian film actor, comedian, script and dialogue writer. Kader Khan has acted in over 300 films in the Hindi and Urdu languages, and has written dialogue for over 1,000 Indian films, from the 1970s up to the turn of the 21st century.

Kader Khan is most popularly recognized for working with comedian actor Govinda in comedic films by director David Dhawan. Khan has also worked side by side with other comedic legends like Shakti Kapoor and Johnny Lever in over 300 films.

Kader Khan played a large variety of parts in films like a supporting role of a father, uncle, brother, relative, the main villain or the side villain, guest actor and comedian.
Kader Khan wrote many memorable dialogues for Amitabh Bachchan's films, including Mr. Natwarlal, Amar Akbar Anthony, Agneepath, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Laawaris and Naseeb, which were huge hits at the box office.

He recently appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) ,Lucky (2006) and Family: Ties of Blood (2006). He had also starred in his own comedy television series titled Hasna Mat, which aired on Star Plus.
Kader Khan is reportedly writing a sequel to the famous Aamir Khan and Salman Khan comedy Andaaz Apna Apna. Pre-production is scheduled to begin in September 2009 in Mumbai's Film City studios.

Recently Kader Khan was recognized by the AFMI (American Federation of Muslims from India) for his achievement and service to the Muslim community in India. The living legend won Filmfare Award for best comedian in 1991 for Baap Numberi Beta Dus Numberi. Kader Khan also won Screen Award for best performance in a comic role in 1995 for Taqdeerwala.
