The Living Legend-Kader Khan


Kader Khan was born on circa 1937 in Pishin (Pakistan). Kader Khan is an Indian film actor, comedian, script and dialogue writer. Kader Khan has acted in over 300 films in the Hindi and Urdu languages, and has written dialogue for over 1,000 Indian films, from the 1970s up to the turn of the 21st century.

Kader Khan is most popularly recognized for working with comedian actor Govinda in comedic films by director David Dhawan. Khan has also worked side by side with other comedic legends like Shakti Kapoor and Johnny Lever in over 300 films.

Kader Khan played a large variety of parts in films like a supporting role of a father, uncle, brother, relative, the main villain or the side villain, guest actor and comedian.
Kader Khan wrote many memorable dialogues for Amitabh Bachchan's films, including Mr. Natwarlal, Amar Akbar Anthony, Agneepath, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Laawaris and Naseeb, which were huge hits at the box office.

He recently appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) ,Lucky (2006) and Family: Ties of Blood (2006). He had also starred in his own comedy television series titled Hasna Mat, which aired on Star Plus.
Kader Khan is reportedly writing a sequel to the famous Aamir Khan and Salman Khan comedy Andaaz Apna Apna. Pre-production is scheduled to begin in September 2009 in Mumbai's Film City studios.

Recently Kader Khan was recognized by the AFMI (American Federation of Muslims from India) for his achievement and service to the Muslim community in India. The living legend won Filmfare Award for best comedian in 1991 for Baap Numberi Beta Dus Numberi. Kader Khan also won Screen Award for best performance in a comic role in 1995 for Taqdeerwala.

Shakti Kapoor


Shakti Kapoor was born on September 3, 1958. Shakti Kapoor is a Bollywood actor. Kapoor is notably known for playing comic and villainous roles. Shakti is known for acting alongside comedian Kader Khan in over 100 films.

Shakti Kapoor, since the start of his career in 1972 he has often been nominated for the Filmfare Award in the Best Comedian category and won once, for his performance in David Dhawan's film, Raja Babu in 1995.

During his career, Shakti Kapoor was part of many successful films such as Aasha, Khiladi, Aankhen, Judwaa and many more. Nowadays, Shakti is a regular fixture in Priyadarshan films like Hungama, Hulchul, Chup Chup Ke and Malamaal Weekly and most recently Telugu remake Bhagam Bhag and Bhool Bhulaiya.

Shakti Kapoor is married to Shivangi who is Padmini Kolhapure's elder sister and has two children, a son Siddhanth and a daughter Shraddha. Siddhanth Kapoor is a DJ (Disc Jockey) and also an assistant director. Shakti Kapoor's daughter, Shraddha Kapoor is an actor who began to enter acting in 2008.
