He did his Specialization in Stagecraft in 1977 from NSD.He got married in 1988 with poornima but the couple separated few years ago. Raghubir Yadav has acted as an actor and singer in more then 70 plays and around 2500 shows. The actor has even worked with the Rangoli Puppet Theatre of Lucknow.He made his debut with Massey Sahib which came in 1985. He played the title role in this movie. Raghubir Yadav is the only Indian actor to have received the Silver Peacock Best Actor Award. One of his most famous roles is the one in Salaam Bombay in which he played the role of a drug addict. He started his TV career with Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne. He also played the role of Haji Nasruddin in Mulla Nasiruddin.
