Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill was born on 3 December, 1970 in Patiala. He studied in Bikram College, Patiala. Jimmy Shergill made his career with the movie Maachis which was an average movie on the screen.

He did number of movies like,Jahan Tum Le Chalo, Mohabbatein, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Tom Dick and Harry, Hum Tum, A Wednesday, Muna Bhai MBBS and many more.

He was acted in Punjabi movies also like Mannat, Yaaran Naal Baharan, Munde UK De and lot more. Shergill has done variety of role in his life. He likes to play different role to get more perfection in acting. Now, Jimmy is coming with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in there forthcoming movie 'My Name is Khan'.
