Gurdas Maan

Gurdas Maan, Indian actor, singer, screenwriter was born on 4 January, 1957 in Punjab. After completing his formal education from Malout, his parents send him to Patiala for further education, he has completed his Master in Physical Education from National Institue of Sports. He was interested in sports, so Gurdas has won several awards, but when he came to college he has participated in acting and singing compitio and won many awards.


He came into lime light after his song Dil D Mamla Hia in 1980 amd then he recorded 27 albums and written over 200 songs.Gurdas's got fame in Punjab and his famous Punjabi album Apna Album won 1998 Asian Pop and media Award.

He has acted in the movies also like Waris Shah, which was nominated for Academy Award and Shaheed-E-Mohabaat, real life story of Boota Singh. Apart from singing Gurdas is multi-linguistic he know Hindi, Rajasthani, Hariyanvi, Begali, Tamil and many other language and song in all these languages.
