Indraneil Sengupta

Indraneil Sengupta is an Indian model and Bollywood star, who was born in Assam but the actor was brought up in Ahmedabad. Indraneil was a finalist in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 1999. In 2000 he then moved to the dream city Mumbai to pursue career in modelling. He modelled for fashion designers like the very famous Rohit Bal and also worked for choreographers like Marc Robinson and Achala Sachdev.

Doing commercials for the Tata Indigo Marina car, Aquafina and more, Indraneil also featured in some of the video albums. Also appeared on small screen, the actor has done a Bollywood film “Shukriya” which was to have starred actor Aftab Shivdasani, Anupam Kher and Shriya Saran. He was to enact a role in the flick ‘Dus’ but the project got shelved for some reasons. Indraneil Sengupta played a negative role in Bollywood horror genere “1920” which was penned and directed by Vikram Bhatt. In the movie, he played the character Mohan Kant, the British Indian armyman who betrayed his revolting pro-independence military troop.

On 2 March 2008, he tied the knot with Barkha Bisht Sengupta who was his co-star in Doli Saja Ke and Pyaar Ke Do Naam…Ek Radha Ek Shyaam. The couple also appeared in Nach Baliye Season 3. Featuring in Bollywood movie Mumbai Salsa, he has also done four Bengali films. In 2008, he did 'Janala'. Indraneil Sengupta starred as a young aspirant director in Bengali flick Autograph.
