Shreyas Talpade was born on 27 January 1976 in Mumbai, Maharastra as an Indian actor appears in Marthi and Bollywood films. Talpade attended Shree Ram Welfare Society's High School. He began his acting career with Marathi soap operas and doing stage shows across Mumbai. In 1997 he has appeared in the Zee TV soap opera Woh in which he was the main lead.
He played a very different role in mini-serials for the production “Adhikari Brothers”, he was acted in a popular Marathi serial 'Damini' as a character Tejas. The actor arrived to the Bollywood in Nagesh Kukunoor's Iqbal which was written by Vipul K Rawat in which he played the role of a deaf boy who has been inspired to be a cricketer. The film and his outstanding performance were well appreciated by the audience and the critics. His next flick was Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor in which he played the comic role of a vague person, a man with many disguise. This film was also admired by critics.
He started with his comic roles, Apna Sapna Money Money in 2006, he played the role in Farah Khan's blockbuster Om Shanti Om with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in 2007. He has produced a Marathi film, Sanai Chaughade which was released in 2008. His recent movies are Shyam Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur, along with Golmaal returns and Sangeeth Sivan's horror flick click. Talpade is married to Deepti Talpade, to whom he was met when he went to her college as a celebrity. She was a general secretary there.
