Irfaan Khan

Irfaan Khan was born in Jaipur to a Muslim Nawab family. Irfan's father, the late Jagirdar was from the Khajuriya village near the Tonk district and his mother Sayeeda Begam was from the Tonk Hakim family and they run a tyre business. Irfaan Khan studyed his M.A. Degree when he earned a scholarship to study at National School of Drama in New Delhi in 1984.

After completing his graduation, Khan moved to Mumbai. He acted in various TV serials like Sara Jahan Hamara, Chanakya, Banegi Apni Baat, Star Bestsellers and many more. He got his first Big screen break in negative role in a movie The Warrior, he has received recognition for his roles in noumrous movies including Maqbool, Haasil, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, Billu, New York, I Love You and Vodafone commercials. Khan has won two Filmfare Awards, a Screen Actor Guild Award and an Independent Spirit Award nomination. He has also been honoured with Padam Shri in 2011, the forth highest civilian award in India.

Khan got married in 1995 to a writer Sutapa Sikhar, who is also a NSD graduate. They have two children name Babil and Ayan. Khan have two brothers and one sister, they still live in Jaipur and run their businesses. Recently, the actor Irfan Khan and Arunoday has impressed audience with their performance in their latest film 'Yeh Saali Zindagi' that have giving good response from critics. The publicity news of having 22 kisses have attracted people towards the movie.
