Indian actor Bob Christo, born in Australia, came all the way to Mumbai to meet Indian actress Parveen Babi, and also because he was waiting for a work permit to work in Muscat which required him to be out of Muscat. Bob Christo got a chance to work in a negative role in a Hindi movie named Abdullah.
Since then Bob firmly decided to stay in India and has done over 200 movies by his own admission. Bob Christo had a well built body and a shaved head, which helped him in getting all the characters to play in Hindi movies that required a white guy in a negative role. Tom Alter remains the only other Indian star to have done so many roles as a foreigner who could speak fluent Hindi and did a wider variety of acting. Bob Christo was limited to the role of a foreigner who acted as the villains sidekick or a British officer in period movies respectively. Bob is best known for that Amitabh Bachchan fight scene in "Don." Working as a Yoga instructor in Bangalore, Bob has not been seen in Hindi films since 2003.
