Born in Meerut, in 1920, the Bollywood actor Bharat Bhushan was a well- known and a prominent star of the 1950s and 1960s in Bollywood. Bharat Bhushan often took on characters of tragic musicians to play in his movies. Films in which he starred as lead actor include Baiju Bawra and Basant Bahar. He became a actor of the 1950s with the movie “Baiju Bawra”.
Though he struggled for over a decade to make a mark in Hindi movies. He along with Rafi, Meena Kumari and Naushad became legends and stars with Baiju Bawra. Bharat Bhushan did his studies and took a Graduate degree from Aligarh. After which the actor took to acting against his fathers wishes. According to the research it has been disclosed that Bharat first went to Calcutta to join cinema and later established himself in Bombay as a superstar of Hollywood.
Bharat Bhushan has written script and stories for Barsat Ki Raat, Nai Umar Ki Nai Fasal, Basanth Bahaar, Dooj Ka Chand, etc. Not just that but the actor had also produced flicks like Dooj Ka Chaand. His brother R Chandra made many films such as Beybus, Minar, and Basant Bahar. The actor is still loved and honoured by the Indians for the great movies and the star is considered as the great legend.
