The actor was appreciated for his looks, for his acting and for his camera friendly attitude.You would be surprised to know that Ruslaan Mumtaz was the first choice for the character of Jamal Malik, the famous character of Slumdog Millionaire. But later on he did not get that role because according to the producer Ruslaan was too good looking for that role. Later on the same role of Jamal Malik was given to Dev Patel, the British Indian actor.
Though Ruslaan Mumtaz did not get to work in Slumdog Millionaire ( the movie which won four Golden Globe Awards later) but this young actor got several more projects. Till now the actor has worked in few movies but his roles haves always been appreciated. He played the character “Rohan Sood” in MP3- Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar. Then he Then he played the character of “Kabir Punjabi” in Tere Sang”. He was also seen in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai as Deshh.
