jackie Shroff originally named as Jai Kishan is better known to us as Jaggu Dada, a bollywood film actor . Jackie Shroff was born in Mumbai to Kakubhai Shroff and Rita Shrof, a Gujarati speaking family. Jackie began his acting career with a film called Heera Panna, however, fame reached his foothold with his first block-buster hit-HERO. The movie got this tall, handsome, actor instant glory and fame. Anand bahar, a movie with Anil Kapoor as his co-star was another hit following Hero in Jackie's kitty. Thereon, there was no looking back for Jaggu Dada as his acting career spun across more than 150 movies.
He worked with Subhash Ghai in Ram Lakhan (1989), yet another success for Jackie. In the same year his role as a gangster, in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Parinda (1989) became quite popular and JackieShroff won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award. Another Ghai movie was Tridev (1989) that was his third hit in 1989. He won his second Filmfare Award for a supporting role in Rangeela.
Jackie Shroff has levered a bold image for himself through his blunt and candid interviews expressing his views on sex and masculine nudity. Various on-screen smooches and near-nudity appearance in films like Aar ya Paar, naya daur, Aakhiri Adaalat restricted him to supporting roles and tit-bit performances as against his contemporaries like Anil Kapoor and Sunny Deol who continue to romance young actresses till date.
On the personal front Jackie had always accepted his love for his long time girlfriend Ayesha, whom he married on Jun 5th 1987. Ayesha slowly took on to production and both husband and wife began what is today known as the Jackie Shroff Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. They have two children, a son Jai (nickname Tiger), and a daughter, Krishna that completes there happy family. Along with his stint at bollywood, Jackie is popularly known for his philanthropic attitude and acts of Social work. In 2009, Jackie was seen in a Tamil movie Aaranya Kaandam.
