Arbaaz Khan Biography


Arbaaz Khan, born August 4, 1967 is a hindi film actor, and little brother of superstar Salman Khan. He acted in leading and supporting roles. He is now venturing into producing movies in Bollywood.

Arbaaz's father is Salim Khan, a successful screenwriter, and his mother is Salma Khan (maiden name Sushila Charak), while his stepmother is dancer and Bollywood actress Helen. He is brother of Superstar Salman Khan and actor-producer Sohail Khan. He is married to model and actress Malaika Arora. They have one son, Arhaan, born in 2003.

He made his debut in the 1996 film Daraar and his performance in a villainous role of a psychotic wife-beater was well received. He received the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his performance.

Though not a very successful actor in his solo films, he has starred in many multi-starrer hit films such as Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) and Garv: Pride and Honour (2004) where he acted opposite his brother Salman.

His villanious act in the film Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003) was also well accepted at the box office. He also played supporting roles in the hit Priyadarshan comedy films Hulchul (2004), Malamaal Weekly (2006) and Bhagam Bhag (2006). He recently played supporting roles as
a police officer and mobster respectively in the multi-starrers Shootout at Lokhandwala and Fool and Final in 2007. He also made a cameo, alongside brother Sohail Khan, in recent blockbuster Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, starring Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza.

Khan appeared in the television serial Karishma: A Miracle of Destiny in 2003. And has appeared on TV programs from time to time.

Arbaaz Khan's other noted films are Jai Veeru, Stoneman Murders and Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye in 2009. Fashion (2008), Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008), Thodi Life Thoda Magic (2008), Woodstock Villa (2008) were all noteworthy films in the last year.
