Manoj Bajpai
, a Hindi film actor, hails from a small village of West Champaran, Bihar called Belwa.

Born on 23 April, 1969, he is known for playing unconventional roles due to his orientation towards art cinema, that he also finds suitable
for himself, thanks to his average looks.

He completed his basic education from K R High school, Bettiah. He went to Ramjas College, University of Delhi for pursuing Graduation.He
is married to Shabana Khan also known as Neha, a Bollywood actress who has played a small innings in bollywood as an actress with movies namely Kareeb, Fiza. Bajpai, like his contemporary actor Ashutosh Rana began his career with a Television Serial aired on Doordarshan, titled Swaabhimaan. The
same serial also brought Rishab-Rohit Roy into limelight.

He appeared in several small roles in films like Droh Kaal (1994), and Bandit Queen (1994), before getting a big break in 1998 film Satya (1997) directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

He first shot into fame with his breakthrough performance as Bhiku Mhatre, won him several awards, as he portrayed the hotheaded and compassionate sides of this small-time gangster, with equal panache.

Another important film where he played a dark character was Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's film Aks in 2001, for which again he won many awards.

His work was also hugely appreciated in films like, Zubeidaa (2001), Pinjar (2003) for which he won the National Film Award. His small but full-on impact role in Veer Zaara in 2004 was also much acclaimed.

Despite being one of the most talented and critically acclaimed actors in India, Bajpai has not been able to enjoy much commercial success.From 2005 onwards, he is playing side line roles only in films like Bewafaa, Dus Kahaniya.

Fareb (2005) was his last solo film opposite Shetty sisters that went unnoticed.His upcoming films are Acid Factory and Jugaad (2009).

We hope he finds success and substancial roles for he is a talented actor who is still waiting for his due in the industry.
