Actor Shiney Ahuja was born on May 15, 1975 in the town of Dehradun. His father was an army commander and Shiney grew up aspiring to be part of the armed forces until he got a taste of theater. Shiney did his schooling at the Army Public School, New Delhi and also at the St. Xavier's School, Ranchi. He has studied acting at Barry John's Acting School in New Delhi.
Shiney Ahuja is married to Anu Ahuja and they had a daughter in 2007. He has some experience as a model and was seen in a popular music video by Stereo Nation.
His first movie was Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, which was directed by Sudhir Mishra in year 2003 which was about three friends during the Indian Emergency was not a commercial success but was a critic's favourite that year. Shiney Ahuja won the "Filmfare Best Debut Award" for his portrayal of Vikram Malhotra. He did a cameo in Karam.
Shiney next tasted success with the lead role in Mahesh Bhatt's Gangster made in 2006. It was both a critical and commercial success and he received the "best actor award by Stardust" in 2007 for this movie. He also received the "Society Young Achiever's Award" in 2007 for the same. His next release, Woh Lamhe, also did quite well at the box office. Last year, the actor was seen in Life In A Metro, the hit Bhool Bhulaiyya and Mishra's Khoya Khoya Chand. Last year, the actor Shiney Ahuja has been seen in Hijack, an action thriller that failed to light up the box office. His forth films include Har Pal directed by Jahnu Barua and staring Preity.
