Shri Vallabh Vyas

Shri Vallabh Vyas is a very talented Indian actor. He has acted in many popular movies including Sardar, Lagaan and Shool. The actor has done his acting course from National School of Drama. He is also a natural actor. Vallabh has been a theatre artist too and his theatre experience has polished his acting skills. He has also worked in Marathi cinema.

Before stepping into the world of Hindi films, Shri Vallabh Vyas used to work for the Bombay Municipality. He has appeared into many supporting roles. Some of his initial roles include those in the movies Khel, in the movie Yaarana (which starred Madhuri Dixit also), Deewana etc. In the movie Sardar, he played the role of Mohammad Ali Jinnah. This has been one of his best performances till date.

Another appreciable role of Shri Vallabh Vyas was that of Major Baig in the movie Sarfarosh which was released in 1999. He also appeared in Lagaan as the daddy of Gauri. Recently Vallabh was seen in the movie Dil Bole Hadippa. The actor has also acted in various television serials of 1980s. Some of these serilas included Ajab Si Hai Zindagi,Tara etc. Vallabh has also worked as a terrorist in teleserial Timebomb 911, C.I.D etc.

Amjad Khan's biography

Amjad Khan bollywood's filmstar was an acclaimed Indian actor and director. Amjad Khan worked in over 130 films. The actor became most famous for playing the role of the dacoit Gabbar Singh in Sholay (1975).




Before joining the film industry he was a theatre actor. At the early age of 17, he entered hindi cinema and did his first film Ab Dilli Dur Nahin in 1957.
Amjad Khan's role of Gabbar Singh is considered by many to be the first depiction of pure evil on the screen in Indian Cinema.

After the grand success of Sholay, Amjad Khan continued to play villain roles in many Hindi films in the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s. In the critically acclaimed film Shatranj Ke Khiladi (1977), directed by Satyajit Ray, Khan played the helpless and deluded monarch Wajid Ali Shah. He also played a positive role opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Yaarana (1981) and in Laawaris as Amitabh's father.

Amjad is also remembered for his comical characters in films such as Qurbani (1980), Love Story, and Chameli Ki Shaadi (1986). In 1976, he had met with a near fatal accident on the Bombay-Goa road. As a result of his increasing weight he died in 1992 after suffering from a heart failure at the age of 51.
