He has done his debut with the Rajshri Productions Uuf Kya Jadoo Mohabaat Hai in the year 2004, but it was a flop movie, then again recognition with the role in Madhur Bhandrakar’s movie Corporate and Vikram Bhatt’s Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi.
He has done Kannada movie, and there he got the good response, proved himself as a good actor. After getting success he has decide to settle down in B-City.
He is also set to make his debut in Tamil movies too. Dattani's big moment in Hindi films came with 'Mukhbir', where he played an undercover police informer. He was pitted against the likes of Om Puri and Tabu in this movie, but managed to get himself noticed. Offers have started trickling in from Bollywood and now Dattani has some interesting films on hand.
