Pyaar Hai (2000), which earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut . He has been noted for his performances in films like Koi... Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006) and Dhoom 2 (2006), which are also his biggest commercial successes so far, and for which he won numerous Best Actor awards.

Roshan's last release of the year, the moderately successful Mission Kashmir, became the third highest grossing film of the year. His performance was once again acclaimed with one critic praising him, "Hrithik once again cuts a splendid performance as a youngster sucked in the vortex of terrorism. He is portrayed as anti-government in the early part of the film-- a bold role to play for even a seasoned actor, leave alone a budding superstar." All these achievements promoted him as one of the biggest stars in the industry.
Subhash Ghai's Yaadein was his first release in 2001, which failed to do well. This was followed by Karan Johar's melodramatic Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which did extremely well at the box office, becoming the second-highest grossing film of 2001 and the biggest hit overseas. Roshan's performance was well received and his performance earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at various award ceremonies.
Roshan had an unsuccessful year in 2002 when all three of his releases - Mujhse Dosti Karoge!, Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage - failed to make an impact the box office and were declared flops.

Biography of Rishi Kapoor
Kapoor is considered to be the best brand name for the Bollywood industry today, as they have been serving it and acting as its active contributors to its growth from decades. Right from the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor to the latest hot guy Ranbir Kapoor, they have been generously involved in the Hindi cinema. While Raj Kapoor enlarged the vision to make it a full-size industry, his sons were no less.
Rishi Kapoor was born on 4th September 1952, in the legendary Kapoor family. He is the second son of the expert actor and director Raj Kapoor. His brother Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor have been celebrated actors of the film society. He is married renowned actor Neetu Singh and has two children Ranbir and Riddhima Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor started his career when he was in his teens, playing his father’s role as a child, in the well-known movie ‘Mera Naam Joker’. With the acting skills in his genes and a knack of creativity, he struck jackpot from the very start of his career. Overwhelmed by the respect he received, he bagged the lead role for his father’s next home production ‘ Bobby’, which was an instant hit amongst youngsters. Two hit releases back to back for a newcomer like him set his hold in the star world immediately. After that, there was no looking back for the ace actor. His films fuelled his lover boy-for-all-seasons image as he was popularly known. He was the heartthrob of the nation in the 1970s. Though the actor had a perfect start, he could not sail in the ship of being at the top for a long time, as budding actors like Amitabh (in his angry young man look) who strived to flourish in the industry, struck the chords of success. He fought his way back with Nagina and Chandni, both paired opposite Sridevi and his home production Henna, but could not do much to resurrect his image.
He ventured into direction, with the movie ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’, but was not successful. With time, he moved to character role, with movies like ‘Raju Chacha’ (2000), ‘Hum Tum’ (2004) and ‘Fanaa ’ (2006). He was also seen in ‘Namaste London’ (2007) and an English-language film titled ‘Don't Stop Dreaming’ (2007). In his career spanning to almost four decades now, the Prince Charming of Bollywood has done loads of movies and has been concerned with almost all the departments of film-making be it acting, direction, editing or even sound departments.
